Our Lead Soil Scientist

Walter G. George is a licensed Soil Scientist in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. He was employed by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service for almost 14 years, and has worked on soil surveys in Florida, West Virginia, Georgia, Montana, and Minnesota. He started his private consulting business in Georgia in 1997, and has since expanded his area of operations to include Tennessee and North Carolina. Our company’s goal is to help our clients develop their land in a way that maximizes their opportunities while protecting the environment and sustaining the region’s natural resources. We take pride in providing a wide array of accurate, high quality services, and maintain good working relations with local, state, and federal agencies, and can help you obtain needed permits in a timely fashion.

Walter is licensed to practice the profession of Soil Science in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, and is recognized by the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) as a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS). He has been designated by the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Certified Wetland Delineator, and maintains Level 1A Certification in Sediment and Erosion Control by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC).
